Alloy Homes is a special company of architects who DESIGN AND BUILD their custom homes. They listened to me and my wish list for my age-in-place forever home and I felt that I was a member of the team during the entire build. My Project Manager was awesome and the attention to detail was second to none. Their trades are the best in the city.

To say that I love my home is an understatement. Besides being cozy and casual, it is absolutely stunning inside and out. It exudes character and quality. I am very proud to say that it was a finalist in the Calgary BILD awards and a finalist in the National Awards for Housing Excellence. There was a two page article on the house in the Calgary Herald (2022) and it will be featured in House and Home magazine (June 2023).

Alloy Homes’ motto fit me to a T — “Love staying home”! I highly recommend building with them. It was a pleasure dealing with them. And now I’m part of the Alloy family.

Building a home is an intense and exhaustive process. No way around that really because of the complexity of managing expectations, quality, costs and schedule. We did our homework to select a builder and all in all are really happy to call our Alloy house our home. One of the things we appreciated most was the vision they shared with us about making our house modern..but cozy. It’s a very hard thing to do when you’re dealing with modern materials and dimensions.

Chris and team have a commitment to quality that they will NOT compromise and we learned to love that about them. Combine this with the architectural vision about how our home would fit in with its surroundings, the balance of light and privacy, it’s all just amazing. We are at the 3 month mark after moving in and aside from some minor fixes, everything is perfect. Every single visitor has commented on how this is the most beautiful home they’ve ever been in and we agree. Happy we built with Alloy.

We used Alloy Homes to design and build our new home in Kensington, and after 2 years of living in it, we still love it as much as the day we took possession. At the beginning of the process, we completed a lifestyle assessment, where Alloy used it to come up with the initial design. We didn’t make many changes from the initial design, and the completed home turned out perfect and matched our vision.

The whole process from start to finish was a very positive experience. We were impressed with the attention to detail and the overall quality of finishing by each trade. Building during COVID made the process challenging for everyone, but Alloy went out of their way to make sure it was completed on schedule. Building on a tight inner-city lot also made it challenging, but Alloy worked with all neighbors to minimize the disruption as much as possible. We’re really proud of the home that we have, and it’s because of the Alloy team and their high quality of trades. We truly feel that we’re now a part of the forever Alloy family, and we Love Staying Home!

Chris, Mace and the Alloy team were incredible to work with. They guided us through the entire process of custom building: from picking an appropriate lot in our desired neighborhood, to designing our dream home, taking into account the unique features of the lot, to completion of the build.
