A nostalgic yet modern take on a classic New York Brownstone, we designed and built this custom home from the ground up for a family with deep roots on the property. The home is organized around the prominent masonry arc of the library and den. Its central role in both the massing and the floor plan is deliberate, acknowledging the owners’ love of books and literature. Sandstone bricks from the original home on the property were salvaged and used as playful punctuation marks throughout the interior.
